Dress Code for Ballet
Leotards 
All leotards should be plain and free of contrasting trim and fabrics.
Skirts and dresses are not allowed.
Leg-warmers, tee shirts, and other extras are not allowed.
Tights
Tights should be made by a reputable dance wear manufacturer (i.e. Capezio or Bloch).
Students should not wear tights purchased at Wal-Mart or other similar stores.
Underwear should not be worn under tights.
Shoes
Shoes should be made by a reputable dance shoe manufacturer (i.e. Capezio or Bloch).
Students in Creative and Pre Ballet may wear the ABT ballet slipper carried by Payless Shoes.
Students should not wear shoes sold by Wal-Mart or other similar stores.

Girls
Leotard colors should correspond to the students assigned class level.
All levels should have pink ballet tights and pink ballet slippers.
Level 1-4 should have a white waist elastic.
Creative Ballet        Ballet Pink
Pre Ballet                White
Level 1                    Lt. Blue
Level 2                    Burgundy
Level 3                    Hunter Green
Level 4                    Navy
Level 5                    Black
Girls Hair
Creative Ballet        Hair should be pulled back from the face, a bun is
                               preferred.
Pre Ballet A             Hair should be pulled back in a ponytail with no
                                hair in the face, a bun is preferred.
Pre Ballet B             Hair should be in a bun.
Level 1-5                 Hair should be in a bun.
If a students hair is too short to fit into a bun, the hair should appear from the front as if it is in a bun.

Boys
Black tights or bike shorts
White leotard or tight white tee shirt
White ballet socks, White ballet slippers
Hair should be neat, long hair should be worn away from the face.
Levels 2-5, a dance belt is required.

Dress Code for Modern Dance
Modern A, B, C, and Teen.
Bare feet, no shoes
Leggings or tights
Teeshirt with leotard underneath
Hair in a ponytail of french braid.

No skirts
No jeans
No shorts, unless tights are worn underneath.
No loose pants, unless they are shorter than mid calf length)
No writing on clothing
No midriff tops.
No buns.
No jewelry (except for small stud earrings).
No bracelets or anklets that are tied onto the leg.

Students arriving with hair in their face will be asked to pull it back into a ponytail.
Students arriving with jewelry that cannot be removed will not be able to participate in partnering exercises.

Modern C/D
Solid colored leotard and footless tights.
Hair should be secured off the face without a bun.
